The final chapter of Ebenezer cottage’s retrofit was recently featured by Phyllis Richardson in her blog Archetcetera in a post entitled ‘An Idyllic Compromise’. It talks about how SPA’s mindfully works ‘with’ existing building to create rather than ‘brashly’ tearing them down.

Just a week later the NY Times published an interview, ‘Houses Built on Gossamer Wings,’ with Richardson to discuss her upcoming book, “Superlight: Rethinking How Our Homes Impact the Earth.” Ebenezer cottage was also mentioned because of the innovative use of electricity producing Solar Slate roof tiles on the country home.
