Our latest design for a contemporary brick extension in the private garden in Belsize Park received the full permission from Camden! It gives more space to the garden flat as well as a stronger connection to its luscious private garden – a great parallel with the rich jungle landscapes by French painter Henri Rousseau.
In the words of the Camden planner, the glazed panels included between the new and old brick help differentiate the traditional from the contemporary. The large, triple sliding glass doors transform the indoor into outdoor with ease. To add some wilderness of our own to the building, the roof will be completely covered with a green meadow. (The specified system will be the ‘Wildflower Blanket’ by Sky Garden.)
We are looking forward to take this proposal into the design development stages next – watch this space!
