Beautiful examples of work of Thomas Stearns’ one of designer-maker for the Murano glass’ legendary family Venini. They amplify some of the unique qualities of hand-blown glass: transparency and solidity, embodiment of vibrant colours and ability to transmit and transform light as well as form beautiful and sensual forms. Particularly intriguing is the Capello del Doge, the mostly black object inspired by the shape of Doge’s hat.
Also interesting is the light installation which takes Stearns’ glass colours and transmits them on a giant screen alongside a mirrored corridor.
