Here is another pair of our recently dismantled mood boards, or “mixed media collages” as our local artist Maureen Grayson named them. They were prepared for the latest phase of the listed Arts & Crafts Living project which we completed last Autumn.
Board no1 contains materials and finishes of the side extension. This muddy-boots-entrance and whole-house sustainable technologies centre makes for a robust yet mellow counter-point to the listed house.
Board no2 helped us envisage the quiet, timber-framed garden studio for work from home and leisure, tucked away as it is in the far end of the generous back garden.
The materials appear in the following order:
Board 1:
– F&B, all white paint
– silestone worktop
– varnished plywood
– Dulux, white cotton paint
– F&B, olive paint
– corten
– Norfolk Pamment, Antique pale

Board 2:
– Ketley bricks, Staffordshire red
– RAL3007 (black red)
– oak flooring
– Garnica varnished plywood
– Lime green, solo plaster
– MK Aspect switch
– Russwood, larch cladding
