This Edwardian garden maisonette was strangely devoid of its garden – the foliage could be just glimpsed at the far end of the narrow sitting room. The main space severely lacked daylight and the kitchen was hidden within a cramped alcove. Whilst remaining within the original site boundaries, Sanya Polescuk Architects enlarged both the house and the garden; bringing more daylight to one and more green to the other. This modern interior was enriched using glass and wide timber flooring.
