Domestic retrofit has had an ever increasing potential for work for architects and other building professionals. It has also been an area of academic research and we are proud to have been part of it.
The result of this research, carried out under FLEUR by the scientists and practitioners alike has just been published by Yekatherina Bobrova for Life Sciences.

Bobrova’s simple diagram illustrates the result of the research encapsulated in Home for the Common Future, a domestic retrofit is underpinned by both emotional and cognitive impetuse. Not entirely surprising but a welcoming confirmation to help us understand how important decisions about retrofitting homes are made.
