With London experiencing increasingly intense heatwaves, designing homes that can stay comfortable without relying heavily on mechanical cooling is more important than ever. One simple but effective strategy is to push new glazing inwards to create extra-deep external window reveals, which provide natural shading and help reduce solar gain.
This time, we focused on south-west elevation of our model to track how sunlight moves across the refurbished façade throughout the day.
