We’ve been exploring how light, shadow and materiality shape the experience of moving through one of our projects.
Through shifting light, changing textures and subtle contrasts across timber, plywood, lime render and coloured render, we’re testing how different material finishes influence the atmosphere and perception of the core circulation space.
Carefully positioned windows with deep reveals, variations in stair treads and an open balustrade all contribute to creating a more engaging spatial experience, transforming the everyday act of moving up and down the stairs into something more considered and meaningful.
