Every now and then we work on really small, intricate projects within typically difficult context with a restricted scope for change. However small the undertaking, we make it our business to deliver beauty with the outcome.
This project, recently uncovered from our archives, completed exactly 12 years ago, involves a new connection between two previously-disconnected parts of house.
The limited palette of materials – pigmented render, cork and glass – perfectly blend in with the original fabric, opening a dark, land-locked room in the centre of the plan to the light and views of the lush rear garden beyond.
